We can't wait for the 2012 ABC Kids Show! Kanga Care will be exhibiting for their 5th year in a row. Each year being more exciting then the last, this year is no different. Owner, Julie Ekstrom, has a little extra bit of excitement under her belt for the show...a patent. Julie first started sewing the, now famous, Rumparooz One Size Cloth Diaper in 2006 for her daughter who was born with a severe allergy to the chemicals in traditional disposable diapers. Julie started from scratch with a pattern simply built to fit her daughter which incorporate and unique feature - dual inner gussets. Double barrier protection against leaks and blow outs! It was only months before Julie was being asked by friends and family if they could place orders with her to try out her new modern style cloth diapers for themselves. They were a hit! Less then a year from when Julie started sewing the Rumparooz in her kitchen, she had made over 1000 Rumparooz with her own two hands. She filed a patent with the USPTO, and began looking for local manufacturing to meet the demand for her product. Five years later, Kanga Care has seen an average of a 560% increase in sales year over year and Julie's patent for the dual inner gusset design on a cloth diaper will be publishing in late 2012.
Blossoming from such simple beginnings, we are excited to have a sneak peek at what Kanga Care will be debuting at the ABC Kids Expo! Beautiful new prints and colors for the Rumparooz as well as their full line of products featuring Kanga Care signature waterproof biodegradable TPU; the Lil Joey, Rumparooz Cloth Diaper Covers, Wet Bags and Pail Liners.
