Lovedbaby has growing by Leaps and Bounds

One month before Sharon Oved became pregnant with her first child, her then 46-year-old mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. The devastating news was a wake-up call to Oved, who did extensive research on the topic and discovered the benefits of breastfeeding, not just for the baby, but for mom's breast-health as well. Vowing to nurse her soon-to-be baby and her future babies for one year each, Oved found it very challenging to discreetly nurse in public settings once the baby arrived. However, her "vow" pushed her to be creative, and she soon developed a simple, stylish and effective nursing cover that allowed her to privately nurse in public, anywhere and anytime. It was with this innovative product that L'ovedbaby was born.

Now in its 7th year of business, L’ovedbaby has grown by leaps and bounds. Their popular 4-in-1 Nursing Shawls, beautiful Arms-Free Swaddlers, and a wide selection of adorable Cotton Basics clothing and blankets can be found in specialty stores and boutiques worldwide. Moms love the simple yet tailored look of L’ovedbaby’s clothing, and appreciate the elegance of its chic, solid colors. The company’s reasonable prices are also a key selling point for this high-quality brand, which has quickly become a favorite among the celebrity crowd, including regular customers Halle Berry, Courtney Thorne-Smith and Tim Allen, to name a few.

Oved uses this success to make a difference in the lives of those battling breast cancer. Each year, L’ovedbaby donates 100% of its May profits (in honor of Mother’s Day and Sharon’s own mom, who lost her 11-year-battle in October 2009) and its October profits (Breast Cancer Awareness Month) from the sale of their "Think Pink" 4-in-1 Nursing Shawls to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

L’ovedbaby continues to grow, with the recent introduction of a beautiful Burp Cloth Plush, made of 3 soft and absorbent layers of super-soft fabric that coordinates with their stylish Nursing Shawls. The company has plans to add several new items to their product offering by Fall 2011.
